There are manicures, and then there are Tonic manicures.  At Tonic, we present the “Varada” manicure.  “Varada” is the Buddhist hand position signifying charity and compassion.

The manicure begins with a warm oil massage, followed by a relaxing soak in aromatic oils and sea salt.  Exfoliation and rejuvenation follows with a moisturizing scrub of ginger, and your arms are then coated in thai mud and draped in warm towels to soften and brighten the skin.  The ritual is completed with another massage and application of polish.

Pedicures
The “Chakra” pedicure is our signature foot service.  Using a combination of essential oil and ancient massage technique, this treatment is designed to energize specific chakras (energy points in the body) and promote a sense of well-being.

This truly luxurious treatment begins with a soak of Italian mandarin and sea salt, followed by a creamy scrub.  The feet are then enveloped in a white clay masque and the lower legs are wrapped in warm, aromatic towels.  A steaming ginger compress is then applied to the feet and lower legs at specific points for a deeply nourishing and relaxing massage.  The ritual is completed with the application of polish if desired.
